"For many students, school is their safe place, a place with structure, consistency, and support."

Mallorie Hurlbert is the Learning Resource Director at Bishop Miege High School and an EMBRACE Educator. She is a true inspiration to her students and those around her.

Mallorie has recently opened up about how COVID-19 has impacted not only her, but her students. We are truly grateful for all of the hard work she continues to make ALL students feel welcome in the classroom!

"The hardest part of COVID-19 has been feeling disconnected from many of my students. Health concerns have kept multiple students at home which has been difficult. I worry that our relationships have been altered without informal interactions. I miss our run-ins in the hallway and the random pop-ins to just say hello. I know that these students and many others are struggling with isolation. For many students, school is their safe place, a place with structure, consistency, and support. I pray for a day where we can all be back together and continue to grow in our relationship with God and each other." - Mallorie Hubert

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
