Jill Reffett - Executive Director
Inclusive Catholic education is a family passion for the Reffetts and their extended family. Jill and her husband, Chris, recently relocated to Lawrence, KS from Payson, IL. Jill came to EMBRACE with past experience that includes both the public and private sector, including corporate sales, Special Olympics Illinois, and educational advancement. In her spare time, Jill is a Down syndrome and inclusion advocate. The Reffetts started a FIRE Foundation affiliate in Central Illinois to help fund inclusive education in Catholic schools in the Springfield Diocese, with the Quincy area parochial schools being their pilot program. Their experience at their parish in Quincy quickly taught them that the primary need to make inclusion possible is heart, but to be sustainable it takes advocacy, education, and funding beyond what is supported by tuition, the parish and proportionate share.
