Community Information Night: Growth Mindset in Catholic Schools
Time & Location
About The Event
Join us as Sam Rockford shares on the topic of Growth Mindset in Catholic Schools. Mindsets are views students adopt for themselves profoundly affecting their learning and the way they lead their lives. Tapping into this psychology can help us form students’ understanding of what it means to be a beloved child of God. It can also aid in reducing anxiety, perfectionism, and quitting. Building a growth mindset helps kids increase learning, develop fortitude, and stretch themselves to become the people God created them to be. This presentation will focus on understanding psychologist Carol Dweck’s work on mindset, applying it to the classroom and connecting it to our Catholic faith.
Community Information Nights are educational events held at various parish communities throughout the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. These events give parents, teachers and school communities the opportunity to learn more about a topic of interest. All are welcome to attend and childcare is provided!
